  • Improving the quality of rural healthcare in P.R. China. For HLSP/ the World Bank, and the Foreign Loans Office of P.R. China. Assessing and introducing improvements to the HVIII rural healthcare project, which includes strengthening existing facilities and equipment infrastructure in health centres/hospitals; improving capability of medical staff; developing uniform sets of standards; establishing specific quality indicators; strengthening organisational structure and managers ability to plan and evaluate. 2006/2007.

  • ‘Measuring Quality of Life in Health’, book published by Elsevier/ Churchill Livingstone, Edinburgh London New York (2004). The book provides a comprehensive guide to the development, selection, and application of patient-centred health outcome measures to target and evaluate health and human service programs.

Project aimed to facilitate the development of Health Systems Research in Malaysia, and included assisting the development of projects by Malaysian Government Officers, eg. investigating the poor attendance of Aboriginal women at health centres, the effectiveness of health education, the high incidence of hypertension in pregnancy.   • Child Sexual Abuse: Prevention, Detection, and Reduction. An examination of the elements necessary for the development of a comprehensive and integrated program to combat child sexual abuse in Victoria, and the preparation of a development and implementation plan.   • An Examination of the Potential Toxic Effects of Agricultural Chemicals in use in the Mitchell Valley. A comprehensive investigation of the toxicity of chemicals used in vegetable growing, an assessment of their relative hazard to human life, and the recommendation of steps necessary to safeguard human health when handling and applying different compounds. Directed the Impairment Assessment Review Committee of the Accident Compensation Commission of Victoria (ACC) and the Victorian Accident Rehabilitation Commission (VARC) in an examination of the instruments and processes used to assess medical impairment, disability, and handicap. 1991.
